Bellingham Radio Museum: Nationally recognized for its outstanding collection of vintage radios and other examples of broadcast and entertainment technology from the early 20th century. The Museum encourages visitors to have a "hands-on" experience and to actually operate many items in the collection. The staff is prepared to demonstrate the objects on display, so that the wonder of the radio era really comes alive. The museum was established in 1989 by Mr. Jonathan Winter, who remains Curator and President. Mindport: Come renew and fortify your thinking with a stimulating commerce of the mind! MINDPORT is a hands-on discovery museum utilizing an unusual blend of art, science and humanities to refresh your consciousness. There are over 40 exhibits, each one abundant with ambiguities. Lynden Museum, " Washington's Best Kept Secret!": This museum features a life-size replica of Lynden's Historic downtown, a full size farmhouse circa 1900 and more than 60 vintage buggies, cars and tractors that tell the story of getting around in the industrial age. See forty-six classic examples of horse-drawn vehicles from all over the world. It is the largest publicly displayed collection west of the Mississippi.
All but two are from the original Fred Polinder Collection, the first exhibit in the museum when it opened in 1976. Other exhibits include the Pioneer Homestead, three rooms and a farm yard, which depicts pioneer life; logging displays; military exhibits, including the occupation of Holland and the Lynden Dutch community; First Nations exhibit; and the Auto Gallery...and so much more!
