Travel Precautions in Kenya
  Nairobi Travel Tip

Anti-malaria tablets are a must. You are advised to start taking tablets two weeks before you leave. Continue throughout your stay in Kenya stopping four weeks after you return.

The malaria pills are for precautionary measures. Our safari guide said if I could guarantee that I would not get bitten by a mosquito that carried the malaria bug (we were going into lower elevations that MIGHT have the bug) then he would guarantee I would not contact malaria.

Pack a 'medical bag'. Also include bug repellent, suntan lotion, stomach remedies, and ointments.
