Long Island Travel Tip
Long Island has a few small hotels and a couple of resorts.
The resorts together offer less than 80 rooms, so as you explore
the long and narrow island (about 50 miles long and around 4 miles wide),
you'll rarely run into tourists.
I've
been to the Stella Maris. I remember the staff being exceptionally
friendly and accommodating. This 50-room plantation-style resort
has individual double rooms, 1 & 2 bedroom apartments, 1 bedroom cottages
and 2-bedroom villas.
