Getting Around Dusseldorf
Dusseldorf Travel Tip
by Lorry Patton

I recommend the Dusseldorf Welcome Card to get around Dusseldorf. It only costs 9.71 Euro
Dollars and in addition to the unlimited two days use of the underground trams and busses, the
card provides discounts to boat rides, city tours, museums, theaters and other attractions. The
card is available at tourist centers and many hotels in the city.
I also recommend the city tour. A city tour is an excellent way to get an overview of any city.
City tours depart from two locations in Dusseldorf: at the corner of Konigsallee and
Steinstrabe and at the central station in the heart of the city.
Stuttgart's boat rides are another way to get a perspective of the city. Enquire at the tourist
booths at trains stations or airport for rates, departure points and schedules.
Walking is the best way to get the sense of age and character of a place and as always good shoes
are very important, however, in the old districts of Dusseldorf, good shoes are essential. Many of
the lanes are made of the same cobblestones that laid the city's grid centuries ago.
