Hampton Roads

Whatever the reason, today, we are preserving and exploring the world and all its glorious and tumultuous centuries with a passion. Pioneering towns that didn't stand up to time have been carefully restored and replicated, giving all visitors, many of which are school children on field trips, an opportunity to understand how the " New World " evolved. And nowhere is this more evident than in Hampton Roads, Virginia.

Hampton Roads is not a road at all. It is a show and tell chunk of US soil that encompasses the founding settlements of Jamestown, Williamsburg, Yorktown, Norfolk, Newport News and Hampton.
